A Book You Would Keep In Your Life : Personalized rustic wooden wedding guestbook

Personalized Wedding Guestbook

This is our another version of Tree wedding theme guestbook we made for Lindsey and Tyson. Lindsey found our Oak Tree guestbook online, contacted us and to see we could make another tree guestbook for her. She sent us her wedding invitation, wanted us to collaborate her artwork onto her guestbook. When we saw this beautiful tree artwork, we do not hesitate and want to work on her guestbook project.

Rustic Wedding Guestbook

As you can see the wood grain is pretty busy, we need to modified  her original artwork in photoshop in order to show the tree better on the wood cover.

Rustic Wooden Wedding Guestbook

We like the burnt wood finish created a little more rustic feel to it, we finished this burnt wood finish by ourselves. We’re pretty pleased with the outcome.

On the front page of the book, we letterpress printed their names and date and we embossed the 4 corners on the front page.  At the bottom of the page, we also embossed a tree and their initials just to bring a little more personal touch to it.

Personalized Burlap Bag

A bag would make it easy to store away, so we hand-sewn a burlap bag for the book, stencil printed their initials and the wedding date on the bag.  Why not personalized our product all the way!

Rustic GuestbookA guestbook not only capture guests’ warmest heartfelt wishes of your big day of your life, and it’s also a book you would never get tired of reading it again for years to come!

In a friday afternoon…

Purple and green

It’s Friday afternoon here, it’s been a long week, not very productive in this Friday afternoon. Went out to backyard to seek for inspiration, here I saw my lavenders are blossoming. My eyes and mind feel good to rest on the green for the rest of the afternoon. Have a good weekend ahead everyone!

Wooden Wedding Vows Journal

Handmade Wooden Vow journal

This is our recent project: Vows Journal. Doug found our journal on Etsy, but he requested a replaceable pages journal instead of our coptic binding. We suggested him to use this binding (hinge and string ) if he wants a removable inside pages journal. We cut off about half inches of the front cover from the left and drilled 2 holes for holding papers. Then we placed 2 tiny metal hinges to connect to it.   At last, we realized 2 holes weren’t enough strength to tight the papers, so we drilled another hole in the center to tighten up the papers.

Stencil printed bag

Doug requested a cotton bag for his book instead of our burlap material. We stencil printed their initials and wedding date with water base fabric ink on the bag.

Letterpress printed initials and date

We letterpress printed their names and wedding date on the front cover, then embossed the flourish pattern underneath.

handmade Wooden Vows Book

We never bind our wooden book like this before, hope this binding method could serve Doug better for his vows writing purpose.

Our hand-sewn Burlap bag

M-square Press hand-sewn burlap bag

We always hand-sewn our burlap, because I thought it’s easy than sew it on sewing-machine.
